FUJI NEOPAN 100 ACROS
ISO 100/21°
Grain: RMS 7
RP: 200/60 lpm
ID: Acros 100

New Neopan 100 Acros 100 features rich tonal gradation, tremendous sharpness and amazingly fine grain, thanks to Fujifilm's Super Fine SigmaGrain Technology. The new film also offers excellent reciprocity characteristics, and simple and stable processing in a variety of developers, with both manual processing and in automatic processors. It's an even better film than its faster older Neopan "brothers."

ILFORD 100 DELTA PROF.
ISO 100/21°
Grain: Not stated
RP: Not stated
ID: 100 Delta

Named European Black & White Film of the Year 1993-1994, 100 Delta offers exceptionally fine grain for its speed, tremendous sharpness, excellent exposure latitude and great development latitude in all popular black-and-white developers. The film employs two emulsions in a single mixed-grain layer rather than the conventional two-layer setup, enhancing sharpness.

KODAK T-MAX 100
ISO 100/21°
Grain: RMS 8
RP: 200/63 lpm
ID: TMX, 5052

T-Max 100 employs the flat T-Grains introduced in Kodak's color-print films to produce a faster film with grain and resolution of a film one-third its speed. It also has wide exposure latitude and is very responsive to changes in development time (and thus is not very tolerant of processing errors). Kodak offers a direct-positive kit to produce positive B&W transparencies from T-Max 100.

ILFORD FP4 PLUS
ISO 125/22°
Grain: Not stated
RP: Not stated
ID: FP4 Plus

FP4 Plus provides fine grain and great sharpness for a conventional-technology film, with good exposure latitude and tonal range. It can be processed in a wide variety of developers with excellent results, and is very tolerant of less-than-perfect processing conditions. Many photographers find this film easier to work with than the newer-technology "super films."

KODAK PLUS-X PAN
ISO 125/22°
Grain: Not stated
RP: 125/50 lpm
ID: PX, 5062

Plus-X Pan is a veteran medium-speed film that's still around because of its generous processing tolerances, excellent exposure latitude and attractive tonal range. It's suitable for all sorts of general photography and can be processed in all popular black-and-white developers. It's got fans among both amateur and professional photographers because they like the images it yields.

FORTEPAN 200
ISO 200/24°
Grain: Not stated
RP: 85 lpm
ID: FortePan 200

FortePan 200 is the only conventional ISO 200 black-and-white negative film, giving the black-and-white photographer the same versatility that the popular ISO 200 color-print films give the color shooter. Sharing FortePan 100's wide latitude, great push/pull characteristics and equal sensitivity to daylight and tungsten light, FortePan 200 exhibits slightly more grain and a bit less sharpness.

ILFORD SFX 200
ISO 200/24°
Grain: Not stated
RP: Not stated
ID: SFX 200

For those of you who like the unusual effect of black-and-white infrared film, but not the hassles (i.e., loading and unloading the camera in total darkness, readjusting for infrared focus, etc.), this is the film for you. Due to its extended red sensitivity, when used with a red filter SFX 200 provides an infrared-like effect without the hassles. You can also use it unfiltered for normal photography.

AGFAPAN APX 400 PROF.
ISO 400/27°
Grain: RMS 14
RP: 110 lpm
ID: Agfapan 400

Another "veteran" conventional-technology black-and-white emulsion, Agfapan APX 400 appears to be a little sharper and finer-grained than Tri-X and the original HP5 emulsion. Image quality is excellent, and the film has wide contrast latitude through development-time changes. APX 400 can be push-processed to EI 1600 with Agfa's Atomal developer.

FORTEPAN 400
ISO 400/27°
Grain: Not stated
RP: 80 lpm
ID: FortePan 400

FortePan 400 employs a special double emulsion layer, one layer capturing the highlights and the other capturing the shadows, thus giving the film good ability to handle high-contrast scenes. FortePan 400 is easily pushed, with great exposure and development latitude. Like the other FortePan films, FortePan 400 can be processed at temperatures from 68-100° F.

FUJI NEOPAN 400 PROF.
ISO 400/27°
Grain: Not stated
RP: Not stated
ID: Neopan 400

The slower and finer-grained of the two older Fuji black-and-white films available in the U.S., Neopan 400 provides excellent image quality and exposure latitude for its speed. It can be pushed as far as EI 3200 if necessary. This is a fine general-purpose black-and-white emulsion designed to be processed in a wide variety of popular standard black-and-white film developers.
