"Praying Mantis" was photographed by Rickey Gann of Gallatin, Tennessee, with a Bogen 3021 tripod-mounted Nikon N80 and Sigma 105mm f/2.8 D Macro lens using a Sunpak 4000F flash set at -1. The exposure was 1/125 second at f/16, and the film was Fuji Reala 100. The scanned image was adjusted in Adobe Photoshop, then printed on an Epson Stylus Photo 1270 printer.
