New Kodak Pro Transparency Film
Kodak has announced a new generation of professional chrome films, the Ektachrome
E100G and E100GX. Both offer very fine grain, a lowered D-Min for whiter and
brighter whites, and the latest advancements in Kodak’s color-amplifying
technology. They also feature T-Grain emulsion technology, which is designed
to capture light more effectively. E100G film has a neutral balance, and is
geared for shooting in the studio or on location, while E100GX is designed for
photo situations that require a warmer color balance. These transparency films
will replace Kodak Professional Ektachrome E100S and E100SW. Eastman Kodak Co.,

Canon Professional Digital SLR
Canon has announced a new professional-level digital SLR, the EOS-1Ds, which
incorporates an 11.1-megapixel, full-frame CMOS sensor. It’s designed
primarily for pro photographers, and features a strong, magnesium alloy body,
45-point AF, 21-point evaluative metering, simultaneous RAW + JPEG recording,
10-mode White Balance and 5-mode Color Matrix selection. The EOS-1Ds is compatible
with all Canon EOS EF lenses and Canon’s E-TTL auto-flash system. It’s
capable of shooting up to three fps in 10-frame bursts, and is bundled with

Super Wide-Angle Zoom Lens from Tamron
Tamron’s new AF19–35mm f/3.5–4.5 lens offers ultra-wide-angle
versatility and is very compact and lightweight (it weighs 10.5 ounces and is
2.66 inches long). This lens offers a 97°–63° angle of view and
an M.O.D. of 19.68 inches. Tamron’s BBAR (Broad Band Anti-Reflection)
multiple-layer coating ensures superior light transmission and color fidelity

New Gitzo Tripods
The new G1027 and G1028 carbon fibre tripods round out Gitzo’s Mountaineer
series. They’re lightweight and compact, but strong and secure for maximum
stability. Both models have multiple fixed leg-angle settings (24° and 55°),
offering ridgidity and stability. The G1028 has a four-section leg construction,
and the G1027 offers a three-section leg construction. Both models have leg
