SanDisk Photo Album
SanDisk has announced its new Photo Album, a tiny, easy-to-use device that allows you to display digital photos or video clips on your TV. You can even attach soundtracks to your slide shows. You don’t need a computer to use the Photo Album. Simply connect it directly to any TV that has an audio/video input to show images. It’s also compatible with any one of eight flash memory-card formats as well as portable USB flash drives. The Photo Album measures 7.4x2.6x.0.8 inches, and comes with a remote control that allows for multiple functions. SanDisk Corp., 140 Caspian Ct., Sunnyvale, CA 94089; 408/542-0500. www.sandisk.com.

Pocket Hard Drive from Seagate
Encased in a sleek, palm-sized shell, the new Seagate USB 2.0 Pocket Hard Drive is small enough to fit in your pocket or toss in a backpack. It has a distinct, round design and its rubberized feet keep it steady on a desktop. It offers 5GB of storage to hold a massive number of digital images, and comes with a retractable USB cable. The Pocket Hard Drive includes software for data security and easy content management, allowing you to safeguard digital files with password protection. Seagate Technology, 920 Disc Dr., Scotts Valley, CA 95066; 831/438-6550. www.seagate.com.

LCD Screen Protectors from Hoodman
The new FlipUp caps from Hoodman function as three-sided hoods to reduce glare and improve the viewing performance of your camera’s LCD screen outdoors. They also protect your LCD from damage. FlipUp Caps for the Nikon D70, D100 and the Fuji S2 replace the earlier OEM caps and clip on the camera. The Canon Rebel cap mounts by slipping the cap over the eyepiece brackets. The H-10D FlipUp incorporates a peel-and-stick adhesive mounting system, and fits the Canon EOS 10D, 20D, D30, D60, 1D and 1Ds models. Hoodman Corp., 20445 Gramercy Place, Ste. 201, Torrance, CA 90501; 800/818-3946. www.hoodmanUSA.com.

Compact Power Device from Quantum
The new Turbo Compact from Quantum Instruments allows you to power a digital camera and flash unit together, and the proper voltage for each camera model is automatically adjusted. To power a different camera or flash, you simply change the cable. The Turbo C’s energy comes from Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) technology, which offers concentrated power, quick flash recycling and long power life. The Turbo C displays its remaining capacity on a “fuel gauge,” with indicators that show power delivered to the camera and/or flash. When charging, this gauge displays the charging progress. This device weighs just 16 ounces, yet has as much power as the standard Quantum Turbo. Quantum Instruments, 1075 Stewart Ave., Garden City, NY 11530; 516/222-6000. www.qtm.com.
