LCD Screen Protectors from Hoodman
The new FlipUp caps from Hoodman function as three-sided hoods to reduce glare
and improve the viewing performance of your camera’s LCD screen outdoors.
They also protect your LCD from damage. FlipUp Caps for the Nikon D70, D100
and the Fuji S2 replace the earlier OEM caps and clip on the camera. The Canon
Rebel cap mounts by slipping the cap over the eyepiece brackets. The H-10D FlipUp
incorporates a peel-and-stick adhesive mounting system, and fits the Canon EOS
10D, 20D, D30, D60, 1D and 1Ds models. Hoodman Corp., 20445 Gramercy Place,
Ste. 201, Torrance, CA 90501; 800/818-3946. www.hoodmanUSA.com.

Compact Power Device from Quantum
The new Turbo Compact from Quantum Instruments allows you to power a digital
camera and flash unit together, and the proper voltage for each camera model
is automatically adjusted. To power a different camera or flash, you simply
change the cable. The Turbo C’s energy comes from Nickel Metal Hydride
(NiMH) technology, which offers concentrated power, quick flash recycling and
long power life. The Turbo C displays its remaining capacity on a “fuel
gauge,” with indicators that show power delivered to the camera and/or
flash. When charging, this gauge displays the charging progress. This device
weighs just 16 ounces, yet has as much power as the standard Quantum Turbo.
